In the four hours of the dance we will
only be able to play 50 to 60 titles.

By giving us advance notice of five songs you most want to hear, we will be able to pick the 60 most requested. Although this may not satisfy everyone, it will satisfy more than it disappoints. We don't know of any other way that is as fair to everyone.

Another VERY important point is that we probably don't already have every song that your student body wants to hear. By your voting early, we will have time to get them all.

Unlike American Idol, only your LAST vote counts. If you vote more than one time you will erase the previous vote and overwrite it with your new vote. This lets you change your mind, if you want to, but prevents anyone from "cheating" by "stuffing" the ballot results.

All names will be verified against the student list. if you put in a bogus name or e-mail address, not only will the system trash that vote, it may also throw out any other votes that came from your IP address, and result in your IP address being blocked.

The best plan is to not try to cheat the system.

Oh, by the way: We cannot play songs with explicit lyrics at school functions. If you request a song that doesn't have a "clean" version, you are just wasting your vote ...

To be certain that we play the songs you want, please also include the artist that does the song you are requesting, like "Running Up That Hill by Placebo."
